Years ago, Lemmy and I were sitting on my couch looking through a box of memorabilia from our relationship; pictures, 100+ postcards, letters, bits and pieces from travel and life together. Lemmy said that he thought the Motorhead fans would love to see this stuff.
The postcards are funny and really show a side of Lemmy that everyone loved.
I love reading the stories that Lemmy’s friends tell about their time with him. So many great stories about being on the road or at the Rainbow, it eases the pain of missing him.
The day of the funeral was one of the hardest days of my life. I wish I had the courage and the strength to have spoken that day. I walked through that day like a zombie. Every one of Lemmy’s friends who spoke, did so very eloquently and were able to express their love for him. I was a silent zombie for most of the day. Like a sleeping person walking through a nightmare. Mute and stunned. Still not believing what was happening.
I think of this site as my way of expressing what I did not have the strength to do that day.
Periodically, I will post a memory from our relationship, some postcard images, handwritten lyrics or notes from Lemmy.
I want to share with you my story – My life with Lemmy..
My hope is that as you read my stories it will awaken any good memories you have. And ease your missing him.
